Nursery Framed Art

I’ve been working on the guest room/nursery recently, and I wanted to frame a quote to go above the bed (which we’ll switch to be the crib once Maya is in her own room). Since Maya is named after Maya Angelou, it only made sense to choose one of her bits of wisdom for our baby girl’s decor. The quote we chose talks about singing birds, and I wanted to incorporate the theme onto the frame. I cut out a couple of birds from vinyl, and applied them to a nice oval frame from Cut It Out for a nice contrast and visual highlight.

The frames come without glass, so you simply slip your photo or artwork into the frame and use the already-cut slot for hanging it up. And there’s even a slot for hanging the frame (horizontally or vertically) routed into the back of the frame.

Here it is with the quote framed and hung above the bed. It really is a great frame! Now I want one for the other girls’ room…and my room!
