Peace, Love, and Joy Ornaments

Another day, another guest post from last year. I have no idea how I did everything last year with little ones. But that makes this year fun because I already have things to share with you. Life is good. 🙂

It’s time to decorate your Christmas tree! I love this time of year, and I love adding a homemade touch to my tree. I also like a little variety on my tree–I can’t do too many round orbs or I start to get bored. So today I’m showing you how to make your own ornaments using any words you like–I chose Peace, Love, and Joy because they’re kind of my mantra this year. And the best part is that they’re simple to make and you’ll find lots of fun ways to use them. (I’m resisting the urge to sew them together and create a garland out of them…)

Peace, Love, and Joy Ornaments Supplies:

Instructions:

Step 1: Design your cut file. You’ll want to type your words in a script font that will connect all the letters. Then cut them out. You’ll also need to cut 4 words per ornament. I used a neutral for the backing and a red for the face of my ornament.

Step 2: Stack and glue the words together using the ZipDry adhesive.

Step 3: Sand the surface and edges of the words to reveal the dots.

Step 4: Bend some floral wire through the loops in the words, and twist the ends.

Then just hang them on your tree and enjoy!

They bring a definite twist to the traditional tree and I love how simple they are by day and by night!
