It’s time for another Craft Lightning round–Halloween style. What is Craft Lightning? A craft that takes 15 minutes (minus drying time) to create so you know it’s easy and something anyone can handle.
I wanted to keep my Halloween decor pretty simple, and you can’t go wrong with black and white. With that in mind, my Boo Blocks were born.
To create them, you’ll need:
- Wood or paper mache block
- Spray paint
- Double-sided adhesive sheets or letters
- Glitter
Making Boo Blocks:
- Spray all the sides of your blocks, and let dry.
- Add adhesive letters to blocks.
- Sprinkle letters with glitter, and shake off excess.
SUPER simple and yet they stand out.
I’m even going to find some other three letter or symbol words/phrases for other holidays such as “I Heart You” for more fun options using the same blocks.
If you like this idea, check out some of these other Halloween Craft Lightning posts going on this week!

Love these! I’m not the craftiest person around, but I’m trying to learn. Can definitely see all the other ways you could incorporate them with different letters, phrases, etc.!
That’s what is so great about them–paint, stick, and glitter! I hope you try them.

What a cute idea!
Thanks, Sara. You’re the best!
Did you use a silhouette to cut the letters? If so, what font did you use?
I actually bought these letters, but since they’re discontinued I can’t link you to them. Unfortunately, I don’t know what font it is. Sorry that’s no help!
